Nick has a unique background in Real Estate, IT and Security. He studied Finance, Real Estate and Information Systems at Georgia Southern University and is one of a select few that has been approved by the Georgia Association of Realtors as an Online and In-Person Real Estate Instructor throughout the State of Georgia. He is also a Civil Mediator. He is a former Police Officer and founded an IT and Security company that provided security solutions to individuals and corporate clients in several states. He is a Certified Security Assessment Specialist (SAP) and is also CPTED Certified to provide security and safety consulting to clients to reduce crime through environmental design of facilities. He is always learning and is able to represent his clients with a unique determination and skill set to help them achieve their goals with residential, commercial sales and leasing, and investment properties.
Since 1989 Nick has worked on some of the most complex real estate transactions and worked with some of the Country's largest corporations, government agencies and banks to represent their real estate interests; Nick helped Statesboro acquire one of the largest mixed use developments in its history. Nick helped another client procure a location for a large Federal Government contract worth over $100 million dollars that helped his client become listed as the 14th fastest-growing private company in the United States by Inc. Magazine. He has represented Unions, Churches, Law Firms, Medical Practices, Restaurants and Retailers.
Nick believes that giving back to the community is every persons responsibility as a citizen and is honored to support the Statesboro Community which is an amazing place to call home. He has served on the Board and as President of the Statesboro Police Officers Foundation and was the 1st Board President of the Georgia Police K9 Foundation. He served on the YMCA Steering Committee and has served on the Executive Board of the Statesboro YMCA along with the non-profit Fostering Bulloch 7th Mile Farm and has served in various capacities at Statesboro First United Methodist Church along with serving other community organizations. Using his extensive security background, he co-founded the Church Safety Alliance of Bulloch County to work with area churches and law enforcement to improve church and church school safety. In 2019 Nick was awarded with the prestigious Deen Day Smith - Service To Mankind Award for his work in the community.
Nick has served on the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority and was appointed by Statesboro City Council to serve as the Chairman of the Statesboro Planning Commission. He has served on the Statesboro Board of Realtors as a class instructor and on the Political Action and Grievance Committee in association with The Georgia Association of Realtors.
Nick enjoys revitalizing downtown areas and has overseen renovations of numerous commercial and residential properties along the Blue Mile and in other parts of Statesboro and Bulloch County. In 2016 he was awarded the Downtown Visionary Award by the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority.
He has taken hundreds of continuing education classes and training seminars and earned numerous designations over the years including: the University of Georgia JW Fanning Mediator Certificate, CPTED Certification, the Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), e-Pro from the National Association of Realtors and the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation among others. He was named to the Top 20 Under 40 by the Statesboro Herald and has graduated from The Georgia Academy of Economic Development in 2012 and Leadership Bulloch Class of 2011. He is a member of ICSC, ASIS, ISCPP, The International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals, The Statesboro Chamber of Commerce and Statesboro First United Methodist Church.
